Yin @ OTM details
In Yin yoga, postures (asanas) are held for typically held for 5-7 mins, the way I teach often we hold poses for a little while longer 10-15mins. The postures are supported by props and hands on assists to allow your body to fully soften and release. This practice works deeply into the fascia and connective tissues while encouraging stillness and mindful presence.
Each class closes with a 15-minute guided savasana (deep rest) to integrate the practice. I also offer gentle, optional hands-on assists to help you feel supported and grounded.
Throughout the session, you’ll be guided with breath awareness and different mediation practices.

Yin is an invitation to slow down and soften. This gentle, grounding practice offers a sanctuary for those seeking release from stress, a balm for tired bodies, and a quiet space for tender hearts. Whether you’re moving through burnout, living with chronic illness, navigating pregnancy, tending to injury (with care and guidance), or simply longing for stillness, Yin invites you to rest deeply, breathe fully, and rediscover ease within.
Yin is also deeply supportive for those who spend their days giving to others—busy people, carers, mums, dads, and anyone who holds space for others. With its focus on stillness and introspection, Yin offers the rare gift of turning inward, replenishing your own well so you can return to life with greater balance and presence
A nourishing, accessible practice for most people.
